About
Our Property
Our seafront Villas Nissaki Olive Press, the Family House and the Cottage are situated in the north- east part of Corfu at Glyfa Nissaki, 21 Km from Corfu Town. They are set in 2,5 acres of private land with olive and cypress trees.
It is very easy to fall in love with the Olive Press Villas. Filled with character and with the natural beauty that all old Corfiot buildings seem to have, it will soon begin to feel like home to you.
The building on the far left looking from the sea, is the Cottage which was originally used by the house keeper. This renovated property, with accommodation for 2 adults and 2 children has its own private patio five steps away from the beach within a private garden with orange, tangerine and lemon trees.
The next building, with two levels, is the Olive Press. Originally the upstairs area was used as the family quarters, hence the outside stairway, with animals and storage below. The Villa has three bedrooms on the top floor with amazing sea views and vine-shaded patio facing the sea.
Right next to the Olive Press is the Family House that the owners have been living for the past forty years. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a private patio on the sea front appears as an ideal holiday spot for large families.
All bedrooms are air-conditioned and fully equipped kitchens.
Amenities & More
All the air-conditioned bedrooms on the first floor (1 double and 2 twin) are south facing with stunning sea views. If an additional bed is required a folding bed can be used. On the ground floor are the living and the dining room, the kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine) and the second bathroom (with shower). The grapevine covered terrace, just a few steps from the sea is provides all necessary equipment for relaxing and dinning (Comfortable garden furniture, barbeque, sun beds, shower, etc).
The jetty in front of the houses is used by the guests for mooring their hired boats to explore the nearby beaches or seafront tavernas across the north east shore-line. Looking from the sea the building on the far right was originally used to press the wonderful Corfu olive oil. The grinding stones that were used are displayed around the grounds. This area is for the private use of the family. Villa Nissaki Olive Press in Corfu Greece.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping attends the properties three times in any seven day stay. The first visit is on your day of arrival. Two further visits are made to either make or change beds, replenish towels and to clean the property. Your housekeeper will advise the days and, should you be away from the property, has keys for access. It is requested that on the day of bed changing all clothes and personal belongings are removed from the beds to avoid items inadvertently going to the laundry. Linen and towels are changed once in any seven day stay.
Please note that housekeeping will not do washing up or clean the BBQ. Please ensure that these items are in the condition you would expect to find them on arrival.
Sea
Talking of the sea, you are just a few steps from the cooling effects of crystal-clear waters. Please note that the coastline is predominantly pebble and rock
A jetty is available for your hired boat. It is available for use by Olive Press, Cottage.
If you are an early riser you may be fortunate to sight the Corfu dolphins. They tend to pass through the bay at 6 or 7am, chasing sardines.
If 6 or 7am sounds a little early why not try snorkelling later in the day. There is an abundance of fish and octopus in the bay or if you have a boat you will find caves and coves all along the coast. The rock outcrops in the bay are well worth a visit.
Shopping
There are several local supermarkets in the area. Most of them can deliver larger quantities of purchases should you not have a vehicle. Please check prior to purchasing that transport is available. If you have a boat you can avoid the traffic and parking problems of high season as there is a small harbour at Ipsos close to the supermarket only three miles away.
